A promo game inside Telegram: players pick up speed on the downhills, collect currency, complete missions and earn discount coupons for the chain’s stores.
The chain wanted a game instead of another mailing: something that would pull players into its stores and grow its promo channels. It had to bring people back every day and give marketing live campaign metrics.
We built it end to end: the game, the backend, the Telegram bot, analytics and CI/CD. Players pick up speed on the downhills and launch off the rises, across three levels of growing difficulty, procedurally generated terrain, a combo multiplier and five power-ups. The controls borrow from game design practice: coyote time and input buffering forgive sloppy taps, and the camera looks ahead and zooms with speed. The FastAPI backend counts mission progress only on the server and assigns each player unique coupons from the client’s exports. The aiogram 3 bot checks promo channel subscriptions, sends coupons and gives marketing commands for stats and segmented broadcasts.
In-game wins turn into barcode coupons redeemed at checkout with a loyalty card. Rewards are fraud-proof because all the logic runs on the server. Marketing runs the campaign from Telegram without developers. It took about a month from first commit to launch, in time for the campaign. 120K people played during the campaign, logging more than 1M game sessions, and the promo channels gained 3,000 new subscribers.
